Privacy Policy

Creative Hauz operates Accord primarily online from Zimbabwe. Accord is an invitation-only, consent-first private beta service for adults seeking intentional social connections and partnerships.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Accord website, application, membership application process, account and onboarding flows, matching, messaging, safety tools, and related support communications. By using Accord, you acknowledge this policy.

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

• Application and account information, such as preferred name, email address, username, approximate city, and referral information.
• Profile and onboarding information, such as age or age range, biography, interests, career details where you choose to provide them, relationship intentions, communication preferences, boundaries, visibility choices, and approximate location preferences.
• Media and identity-reference information, including profile photos, an optional voice introduction, and optional Instagram or LinkedIn references.
• Connection and communication information, including match decisions, mutual connections, messages, and the details you choose to share with another member.
• Safety, support, and feedback information, including blocks, reports, report details, feedback, account-deletion requests, and communications with us.

We and our providers may also receive technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, session information, request logs, timestamps, and error or performance diagnostics.

We use personal information to:

• operate, secure, maintain, and improve Accord;
• process membership applications, invitations, account access, consent acknowledgements, and onboarding;
• provide introductions and connection features based on the preferences and visibility controls you choose;
• deliver operational communications, including invitations, account notices, membership updates, and support replies;
• investigate reports, prevent fraud or misuse, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and protect members and the service;
• respond to legal obligations, valid requests, or situations involving safety and rights protection.

Accord does not sell personal information. We do not currently use advertising technology or paid subscriptions. If we add analytics or new data uses, we will update this policy before they are enabled.

Accord is designed around controlled sharing. Other members may see only profile information that you choose or permit to be visible through your privacy, photo, and connection settings.

Your exact location is not intended to be shown through Accord. Photos, voice introductions, career details, and other profile information may have additional visibility controls. You remain responsible for considering what you choose to disclose in your profile or messages.

We use service providers to help operate Accord. These may process information on our behalf, subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations. Current providers include:

• Supabase, for authentication, database services, and storage;
• Vercel, for hosting and deployment;
• Resend, for operational email delivery; and
• Sentry, for error and performance monitoring.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate serious misuse, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, or support a business transition. We do not share private member information with other members outside Accord’s intended features and your applicable sharing settings.

Accord uses authentication and session technologies necessary to keep accounts signed in securely and to operate the service. We may use local storage, cookies, and similar technologies for security, session management, preferences, and error diagnosis.

Sentry may receive technical diagnostic information when an application error occurs. You can control some browser storage through your browser settings, but disabling required session technologies may prevent Accord from functioning.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Accord, meet the purposes described here, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain necessary safety and audit records.

You may deactivate your account and request permanent deletion through your Profile settings. Deactivation removes your profile from discovery and stops access immediately. We aim to process permanent deletion requests within 30 days.

We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, disputes, or records of serious policy violations. We will limit retained information to what is necessary for those purposes.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or information about personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, subject to legal and operational limits.

Accord operates from Zimbabwe and may use providers or infrastructure that process information in other countries. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information. No service, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use a unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Accord is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to Accord, contact us at info@creativehauz.space.

We may update this policy as Accord develops. The updated version will display a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through Accord or by email where appropriate.
