1. If there is immediate danger
Accord is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, believe someone else is at immediate risk, or need urgent medical, police, or emergency help, contact local emergency services first.
You may also email urgent Accord safety concerns to linda@creativehauz.space. Email is not a substitute for emergency assistance and may not be monitored continuously.
2. When to block
Block a member if you no longer want contact or if their conduct feels uncomfortable, unwanted, deceptive, aggressive, or unsafe. You do not need to wait for a situation to become severe before using the block tool.
Blocking removes the relevant connection and prevents further interaction through Accord’s applicable matching and messaging features. It is a personal boundary tool; it does not by itself create a formal safety report.
3. When to report
Report a member when you believe there may be harassment, impersonation, inappropriate content, privacy or safety risk, scam or financial solicitation, coercion, threats, or another serious breach of the Community Guidelines.
You can submit a report from a connection’s safety controls. You may choose to block the member when submitting the report. Give only information that is useful for review and avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.
4. What happens after a report
A report is recorded for review by authorised Accord administrators. Depending on the concern, we may review the report details and relevant Accord account, match, conversation, blocking, or safety information.
Possible actions include no action, a request for clarification, feature restrictions, profile or content review, account suspension, or removal from Accord. We may not be able to share details of another person’s account or the specific moderation outcome with you.
5. Safer interactions
- Take time. A match or early conversation does not create an obligation to meet, disclose, or continue.
- Keep personal details controlled. Do not share your address, financial details, passwords, identity documents, or private media unless you have considered the risks carefully.
- Be alert to requests for money, investment schemes, urgent crises, secrecy, threats, or pressure to move off-platform.
- If you choose to meet someone in person, make your own safety plan, tell a trusted person where you are going, choose a public place, and arrange your own transport where possible.
6. Limits of Accord safety tools
Accord provides privacy settings, block/report tools, and moderation processes, but cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, compatibility, or safety of any member. Accord does not claim to conduct background checks or verify every identity unless we expressly say so for a specific feature.
